Acceptance is the key
In one way, I am not selling on Amazon https://author.amazon.com/books, as my ebook stock is not moving. In another way, I am selling there, as my ebooks are still for sale on the site.
Most have no sales ranking, but no ranking is better than having a ranking that does nothing but drop.
Years ago, I accepted I would not sell at Amazon, the main reason is Amazon is a shopping site, not a book shop, another reason is I have not got a name people search for such as Stephen King, or James Patterson; this raises the question how do you get recognized without being known - the answer is MONEY for publicity - on the sins of being a self-published writer.
